With its Voice over IP test, the ARGUS 145 emulates both incoming and outgoing VoIP connections, for example with the widely used SIP protocol, and then displays the relevant parameters.
The IPTV test, which includes an STB emulation and displays the most significant QoS parameters, tests and then evaluates multicast services (IGMP protocol) and video on demand services (RTSP protocol). Besides the common IPTV platforms, this tester also supports Microsoft-TV.
The IP test function, which like the IPTV function can be preconfigured using convenient profiles, supports the evaluation of data transmissions by downloading files of any size and from any site via HTTP or FTP as well as by uploading files via FTP.
Additionally, the ARGUS 145 offers the traditional telephony test functions on both BRI and U-interface accesses as well as on POTS accesses.
Thanks to its modular construction, the ARGUS 145 can be purchased equipped with its full range of functions or just some of the tests named - selected to suit your specific needs. Individual functions can then be conveniently added as upgrades at any time. Furthermore, with the aid of firmware updates, the ARGUS 145's capabilities can be expanded to deal with the test scenarios of the future - the current firmware is available free-of-charge from intec's download service at http://www.argus.info/.
