The RS485 protection module (325-050) has been designed to protect the Net2 control units connected to the RS485 data line from being damaged under severe electrical storm conditions. The module helps reduce the passage of high voltage along the dataline.
The RS485 IDC connection module (325-040) will speed up the installation of a Net2 control unit with a CAT5 dataline. Many installations are wired in CAT5 and this module converts a standard screw terminal Net2 Network connection into Krone terminal stripes designed for this cable type.

Installation instructions
Installation - RS485 protection module: The device should be placed at either end of any vulnerable cabling to isolate the section. The two connector strips on the device have positions for each individual wire. A Krone insertion tool (not supplied) should be used to ensure a good connection of the wires into the terminal strip.
RS485 IDC connection module: The two connector strips on the device have positions for each individual wire. Once wired in accordance with the instructions, pull off the screw terminal block for the Net2 ACU's network port and replace it with this module.
