These are good general purpose devices with mortice plates and rims cases included to suit the two types of installation.
Installation - Remove the cover of the electric release and connect the two core cables to the terminals inside. Replace the cover of the release and screw into the jamb.
If you are using the rim fitting, do not refit the side plate.
